Still Dealing with Sickness

The King Fish is still in bed with the flu. He has been miserable, and as active as he is... he hates to be in bed sick. Unfortunately he has no choice. His fever is down somewhat to 100. something. Much better than the 102 he had ben running. I'm sure he has lost some weight, he's had only 1/2 a banana and a piece of toast yesterday. I'm praying for him!

Small Fry is on the mend. He has a nasty little cough, as does the King Fish. I felt horrible for the little guy last night he was awake coughing in his sleep a lot! Anyone have a natural remedy for a 2 year old to soothe a cough? We need it here.

Tiger Shark is still doing well... he slept in today and continues his sinus treatment.

Jabber Jaw is still sleeping as I type this, so I'm not sure what the day holds with him. I know he has been congested, so he may have my cold. Hopefully that is all!

I am continuing to fight this cold. It's all it is.... a cold. I managed to do another sinus cleanse with the netti-pot and my nose thanked me afterward. Really... I think it did. I wish it would stay as clear after I use that darn thing! Hopefully my cold will be short lived with the use of it!

As mom of the household, I'm managing to take care of everyone with the help of some major morning quiet times. I am so grateful that this is becoming a habit in my mornings! This morning unable to sleep past 5am, all I could hear in my head was Luci Swindoll from the Women of Faith Conference singing this song accapello:

"Nobody knows the trouble I've seen,
Nobody knows but Jesus,
Nobody knows the trouble I've seen,
Glory Hallelujah."

It prompted me to get up and head into my computer room to sit down before the Lord, read His word and pray. I am certain that it is His strength getting me through these last two days.

Praying that God will bring healing to your household.

For the cough, rub Vick's baby rub on the bottom of his feet. You can then put socks on his feet, but you don't have to. Should quiet the cough! Sounds strange, but it works!

I hope you all feel better. I gave Daniel warm tea with honey in it before bed and ran a humidifier in his room. We also use the J&J Vapor bath stuff in his bath when he's stuffed up. None of them work great, but I think they help.

I'm glad you had a great time at the conference!

That is so great that you have been having a bible/prayer time. I too have been convinced of my desperate need of that connect time with our Lord. His grace flows down and covers the rest of my day. My parenting needs grace! :) i hope everyone will be better soon. It is no fun having a house of sickies!
