Just because he's so cute....

I haven't updated about Small Fry lately. Since school started back, I'm hard pressed for time. Here's a quick update after 7 months home with us.

He's doing great! I still wish he would grow more or have a growth spurt, and it's still an area of prayer. His speech is improving everyday. He is speaking in sentences and is now repeating words naturally. It's often very funny to listen to him, as he cracks me up!

Friends tell me that he is coming out of his shell more and more. I see it too, but the changes don't seem as dramatic since I see it day to day. Most friends don't see him everyday, so it's nice to hear how he is blossoming from their perspective.

I have a bunch of toddler/preschool ideas for him this year as I school the boys. I am looking forward to having one on one time with him! I just have to make it happen in our schedule. I'll share more about that in a future post.

Here's one of his latest photos... just because he's so darn cute

I love that little guy! I know what you mean about the growing thing. I forgot to tell you that my little princess is up to a whopping 34 pounds!

So glad his words and sentences are coming along. We saw big jumps every 6 months! Love the photo - he is so adorable!

He is precious. If I may, I'd like to offer some encouraement about the growth and development concerns ... I thought the same way for what felt like forever to me, about Dima. Then oneday, he was all grown up. Talking up a storm. Using expressions. Entertaining our guests with his humor. Quizzing me on excavators, bull dozers, etc. As far as size, Dima was always a little chunk BUT I do have a daughter that registers 'underweight' on the BMI charts. Some kids are just scrawnier. He may have tendencies that way even if he weren't adopted. I know you know all this but sometimes it helps to have someone reassure you with things you already know. He is super adorable. God has been especially good to you!
